We're goin' to Disneyland!

Or rather, we just got back a week ago. We had a blast! I actually think we ran poor Alyson into the ground, and she didn't like Space Mountain much, but other than that (and me catching a wicked cold on our way back), we had a ball! It's kind of our first real vacation as a family. Pitiful, isn't it?

"Mustard?! Don't let's be silly."

Here are some highlights:

Nathaniel was chosen for Jedi Training and fought Darth Maul.

Alyson got to meet all of her favorite princesses, including Sleeping Beauty.

Nathaniel won the Golden Scream award for a truly painful and obnoxious scream.

At Medieval Times, Michal received a flower from the Blue Knight, and Alyson was chosen as the Blue Kingdom "Queen of Love and Beauty". (She now introduces herself as "Princess Alyson, Queen of Love and Beauty."

We got to visit the Reagan Memorial Library in Simi Valley and see Air Force One.

We are grateful to Adam, Michelle, Owen and Will. They watched Sparky for us while we were gone. We also got to crash at Doug and Cindy Westenskow's in Simi Valley from Friday to Sunday. We would NOT like to thank the Arizona DOT who closed I-15 Northbound down to one lane on Sunday, with nary a construction worker in sight. Added a whole hour to our trip!

Inaugural Post - Welcome!

Well, here we are. I'd like to say that this is all my idea, but basically, I'm copying my sisters. There is just so much happening in our lives; this seems like a good way to keep you all posted. The name of our blog comes from a Shel Silverstein poem:

There are too many kids in this tub,
There are too many faces to scrub.
I just washed a behind that I'm sure wasn't mine,
There are too many kids in this tub.
