It's my current hobby. Rather than taking 15 minutes to read or listen to my explanation of heraldry, you can go view this three minute YouTube clip starring Terry Jones of Monty Python fame. He explains it better than I do, and he's funnier.
BTW, that is NOT the "SMITH Family coat of arms". Just the arms of someone named "Smith", probably not related to me. But that is a different chapter in my explanation of heraldry...
